Receiving personalized attention also aids in the development of a bond with the owners.

If you are looking for accommodation that is different from the norm and wants to experience exceptional hospitality in India, then take a look at these stunning/ luxury homestays in India that are sure to make your heart sing.

Let’s get this party started –

The Bangala, Chettinad, Tamil Nadu

The Bangala, Tamil for “The Bungalow,” is a stately heritage bungalow from 1910.

It was primarily used to entertain VIP guests in its early years. Sir Arthur Hope, the Governor of Madras, paid a visit in the 1940s. All of his furniture, cutlery, and crockery are still in place.

The estate was later transformed into a club, a venue for formal tea and dinner parties, and a site for tennis tournaments.

To preserve it, the owners restored it to its former glory in 1998 and converted it into a heritage homestay.

The property is in Karaikudi, in the heart of Tamil Nadu’s Chettinad region, between Tanjore and Madurai.

There are 25 air-conditioned rooms, a banquet hall serving elaborate Chettinad cuisine on banana leaves, a library, and a swimming pool.

Kannur Beach House, Kerala

Kannur Beach House, as the name suggests, is located in one of India’s most off-the-beaten-path destinations, Kannur, in remote northern Kerala.

It’s a century-old Kerala-style home set in coconut groves next to a small freshwater lagoon, just a few minutes’ walk from Thottada beach.

This simple and sweet homestay is ideal for relaxing and unwinding by the sea. The hosts serve delicious vegetarian Kerala cuisine and are knowledgeable about the region.

Thippanahalli Homestay, Chikamagalur, Karnataka

Thippanahalli Homestay is a large red mansion with 28 rooms located about 15 kilometers from Chikamagalur in southwest Karnataka’s fertile coffee district.

The mansion was built in 1934 as a heritage plantation bungalow, and the hosts come from a long line of planters.

The district has been growing coffee since 1860!

The hosts decided to open their homes to visitors because they missed their extended families and thought it would be nice to have other people visit and share their homes.

There are five guest rooms available.

One is in the mansion, while the other four are spread out across the property in separate cottages.

Two of the cottages have been renovated, while the other two are brand new.

Red Hill Nature Resort, Ooty, Tamil Nadu

Red Hill Nature Resort is located in the untouched upper Nilgiri mountains, approximately 30 kilometers from Ooty and over 7,000 feet above sea level.

The road there will take you through lush countryside, picturesque villages, vast tea gardens, and, more unusually, cabbage and carrot fields.

The tranquil property consists of a meticulously restored heritage bungalow built in 1875 with breathtaking lake and mountain views. The bungalow and separate cottages have eight elegant Colonial-style guest rooms. All have verandas, and the majority have fireplaces and bathtubs.

Vembanad House, Alleppey, Kerala

Can you imagine a completely harmonious retreat surrounded on three sides by still water that is a true escape from the rest of the world?

Vembanad House, located on the banks of Vembanad Lake in Kerala’s backwaters, is one such location.

Vembanad House is an old ancestral home that the hosts have lovingly restored.

The interior is decorated with traditional wood furniture and artifacts,

and the exterior is lush with tropical foliage and paddy fields.
